what does one where to a cabaret???? Im from NY we dont do that I dont want to over dress. Uhm matter of fact.... what do they do at a cabaret???

I would suggest you dress like you are going to concert/club NOT being too shiny taking away from the performer.  You KNOW you have those who dress like they are going to the Grammy's and you will have those dressed like they are going to an out-door concert (seriously) I would just fall in between not too much and not to relax.

While Rhonda is correct with the definition (Rhonda, I know you looked that schitt up in dictionary.com or some dictionary), in the DC area, a cabaret is another word for - you guessed it - a dayum PARTY!! 

In other words, we'z going to Zanzibar...and whatever other place...to dance, drink, be merry, and have a great ass time...that's it...that's all...(I think!)
