3-yr Surgiversary Today....
Hey All, today is my 3 yr surgiversary. I can't believe it's been 3 years to date.
I wasn't going to post because the pitty party was about to take over and I started telling myself that I haven't made goal, I haven't loss all the weight I want, etc. etc....
But instead, I decided to be thankful for where I am and not so much where I have yet to go.
I am not where I used to be and for that, I am greatful. This journey has not been easy for me, but I am yet alive, and still have the desire to press on and believe it or not, I still have the desire to reach my goal weight. YES, I am struggling everyday to make that happen, but I still see a light at the end of the tunnel....
For the newbies that read this post, if I have one bit of advice to give you, I would say "take advantage of your honeymoon period, when it's gone, it's truly gone".. After that, it's WORK WORK WORK... To be honest, I stopped losing weight after 9 months. Since that time, it has been all me. I know my tool still works, but I had to learn how to work with it.
I used to think I was a failure at this WLS because I haven't loss 100 pounds or more like many on BAF, but when I look at my before pics, I realize that I have done a great job to get to where I am...
So I will take this time to encourage anyone who might feel like giving up, who might feel like they just failed at WLS, or who just don't know how to feel. Hang in there, this too shall pass, but it will take work.
May God Bless you and keep smiling on you all.....
Have a very blessed day.....

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely who others think you are!
