Another Question: When Did You Gain The Most Weight

yeahhhh20longgggggyears actually this june....

I started gaining weight after my 2nd pregnancy. I lost weight during my pregnancies due to complications but after birth I gained weight. Then when I got sick, I had to start taking lots of meds including steroids. I was 300 lbs when I was in a wheelchair. I steadily dieted my way up to 355 lbs.

Wheelchair? Why were you in a wheelchair? I was 300 and didn't have to use one

My last year of teaching I was sick and they didn't know why. I had just had my third knee surgery and it wasn't healing and they thought I had MS, Lupus or something. I still had to teach, so my ortho. put me in a wheelchair for a few weeks. I ended up with fibromyalgia, peripheral neuropathy, degenerative disc disease and arthritis. That ended my career. For a few years, I was either using a walker or a cane.

I was heavy all my life.

I blew up in 2003 /2004 -- up to my highest, 300 pounds  !!


That was when my son graduated and went off to college.

It was just me and a  Pop eye's chicken down the street.

Girl,  I was tearing that stuff up.

I was to embarrassed  to go inside and order,  I went through the drive-thru.

I was so Hugh and miserable !!!

So how long was your son gone before you had WLS? 

When he came home for summer vacation (2004),  he commented on my weight gain.  Him and my mom were talking about it behind my back :)

I was approved for  WLS in 2004.    Chickened  out and went on to loose 130 pounds on my own !!

Fast forward to 2008,  and I am regaining again,  back up to 215 pounds.

I finally had my VSG in 2008.   8-4-08.

The things we do for the "perfect" size... its so sad

As I said in your other post, I gained 100 lbs from teh time I was 18-22. no kids, no pregnancy just mentally thought I was fat (1 was 180 lbs) and then I fluctuated between 250-280 until I had WLS last April. So, if you never saw me during the last 10 years eeryone tells me I  haven't changed a bit since high school lmao
