Encouragement for the Older Post-Ops (Long)

Thanks for posting this Cookie it is really what I needed to hear this morning. As all of you know I am struggling as I make everyone aware of almost daily LOL. Sometimes it feels like it's such a uphill battle it can't be done especially with the adema issues but I see you doing it and I know I am going to do it too.
I hate the way my body looks all swollen and puffy, I workout, I eat right, I drink water and I stay fat. But this time I think I will be successful.
I pray to and ask for the answer but then I block the answer with M&M's wrappers, but i'm listening now and i'm hoping my prayers will be answered like yours was.
Hi my name is Lesia and I am 10 days clean.

Cookie,
What ever you do keep on keepin on!!!!!! Thank you for sharing yourself in such a transparent way. This is reality for many and there are folk out there who appreciate your post and honesty. Congratulatons!!!!!!!!!
All is WELL!!!!!!!!!! You and I both know that prayer does change things.

Next time I see you imma have a bologna sandwich for you! smile!!! lol
I appreciate this post, because after almost 6 years, I am beginning to go back to where I used to be right out from surgery. It does work...just going back to the basics.
3 meals per day and adding protein...that's a winner. I do want to add that I did begin the Alli program and it has worked for me...I don't take them every day, but they jump started my weight loss.
Blessings to you,
DD

Thanks so much for this post today. I so needed to see this. I don't consider myself an older post op as it has only been little over a year for me. But I have fallen and can't seem to get back up. I have a 20 pound regain from my 78 pound lost and it is killing me. My own damn fault, I know..... It is great to know that if I re commit to doing what works and trust in Gods ability to help me, I can get to goal. Thanks again for sharing. Even though you look GREAT in both pictures, you sure can see the difference in the two. You are a beautiful lady. Inside and out! :)
Mush love to you sista! And I will be joining you on the protein train come March 2.
