C-Section pain vs. RNY surgery pain

Good Morning BAF Fam-Fam

Hope all is well with everyone!

First off, I thank GOD for his goodness. My surgery date has been moved up!!!! I am now having my surgery next Thursday the 19th!!!!!  I am so excited and all over the place. I am also quite nervous. I have a question for all of my moms out there who have delivered their babies by C-section and also had the gastric bypass. How do you compare the pain? is it even comparable?

I have a pretty high threshold for pain so I'm not so much worried about pain, just curious. I have had 3 c-sections and I came through those pretty well...

The pain wasn't comparable for me. The pain was worse with the RNY.....primarily from the gas. Once you get pass the extra gas floating in your body, you'll be smooth sailing.

 Walking helps a lot.

For me nothing compared to the pain of my c-section. That is something I would never, ever do again. I have a very high pain tolerance but that c-section was something else. I hardy remember the pain from the RYN which was approx. 2 years ago, but I vividly remember the pain from my c-section which was 10 years ago.

I 've had 2 C-sections 20 years apart  and the pain from both did'nt
  compare to all the gas and upper left side pain from my RNY that
   was the worst part for me.

Congrats!!! I know you are happy.

For me the pain is just different. I had a c-section with my  twins 5 years ago. I had RNY a week ago........................that gas pain.......................baby let me tell you..........it's just a difference to me. I have a high tolerance for pain and I would say the gas pain is a little worse than the C-section ever was.

Hi my sister!!!!  Can't tell you a thing about the C-Section but the RNY pain is from the GAS girl.....I actually had more pain from the drip tube (remember when one of the stiches broke?)  Now that was where the majority of my pain came from.  Just wanted to say hello and I am so happy and so very proud of you.  Come on over to this side girl....It feels so good!!!
