My heart is breaking

I am sitting at my desk and I cant stop crying. I met a man who I thought could really be the one.  We have so mu*****ommon, we share the same dreams and aspirations. We are connected on a spiritual level. I thought he was the answer to my prayer that  I prayed so many years ago. People say that when you are praying for a mate to be specific with God what you want. I did that many years ago and no one has come into my life until now and this man has 95% of the characteristics that I have prayed for. I just knew that God sent him to me. Well he tells me last week that he had been praying and fasting about us and asked God specifically if I was meant to be his wife yes or no?  He said God's answer was friends and prayer partners. I asked him so are you saying that you see no future with me he said he does but it not about what he and I want its about what God wants. Me and this man have discussed marriage and having a life together and this is devastating to think that the man that I prayed for is now gone. This hurts so much. Please pray for me because this pain is unbearable.

At the risk of offending someone..HE IS A DAMN LIE.  God did not tell him that BS.  For some reason, he dont want you to be more than friends but dont have the balls to tell you himself so he put that mess on God. God ought to reach down and pop the living daylight out his azz, I bet he will think twice before he lie on him again.  I am going back to lurk, I guess your post just hit a nerves for me because I get so sick and tired of folks not having the nerves to do what they want to do without blaming it on God.

Why does that surprise you, LA? 

People have been doing all sorts of stuff "...in the name of God..." throughout the centuries.  But, that's another thread for another time. 

But, maybe ur right...maybe he wasn't ready at this time and, in cowardice, did use God as an excuse. 

 

LAVERNE get outta my HEAD!!!  Real talk CP.  If this is what he wants then guess what he ain't the man GOD sent to you.  Sounds to me like he is doing you a favor.  Cause only a BULL SHIOT artist can come up with some shiot like that. 

I agree with LA completely! I don't believe god works in that manner. I believe God gives us spirtual guidelines which we are to follow. That if we make decisions within those guidelines then we are being pleasing to god. I do not believe god is up in heaven making relationship decisions on behalf of humans. What he did was unfair. Instead of being a man about it and saying I really sat down and thought things through I don't think I want to go any further with this relationship. He threw it on god. Please try and keep your head up. It hurts at first but with time the wounds heal.
