Ladies on Birth Control I got a ?

So I go to the doctor tomorrow for birth control.  Please tell me what has been working long term for you since having wls?

Please remember EVERYBODY body is different.

I have always been on the pill stopped taking it a week before surgery (doctors order) got back on them when I was about 2 weeks out.

I was on the Nuvaring at one time HATED IT was trying something new since my co-worker was on it CYCLE FREE . I had a cycle every other week so back to the pill I went.

7 years post-op NO BABIES EXCEPT a puppy, I wish I would.. oh sorry

I understand everyone body is different so I will make sure I ask my doctor what do they think is best for me tomorrow.  I have tried just about everything except for the patch.  They all worked just did not like the side effects.  When I was on the shot my cycle never ended and I gain weight.  When I had a IUD it was never implanted in my uterus correctly.  I hated taking a pill daily but I may be back to doing that I just hope it works. 

I stick to the good ole B/C pills. When your breast begin to look like tube socks with a tennis ball in it. The pill will in some way retain fluid in your breast so they will swell just enought for them to look supple. They will never look the same but it will help. This is just my experience. I used to do the shot pre-surgery, no way in hell now since it held weight on me.

Now I do the patch.  No kids, no problems and I don't have to take a pill every day.

I use the sponge,     It prevents pregnancy, and after relations, I remove it, rinse it off, and do a load of dishes.

I use Mirena which is an IUD I have had it for 4 years and have not had a problem!
