She was supposed to say the word "history" but to me it sounded like she said, "hithory".  My Aunt Hattie used to sound like that too when she'd get all liquored up and her dentures would come aloose.

Flashback...they did the same thing when Mariah had her nervous breakdown and look at what a comeback she has had and another person to look at is Mary J. Blige and just last night she was the recipient of the BET Honor Award.  Let's pray that Whitney is finally there.

Well you know the media is going to have Mariah's back (I won't say why...but you know the race is Mariah's to run (wink, wink)) so you know how that goes.

I give Mary a lot of credit too.  I think I may give her more luv because she wasn't arrogant with her drug/alcohol use.  Truth be told we got some of the best jams from her when she was on that stuff.  Not saying she was a better artist for using drugs but I can't knock her work ethic though.

First i say let's not forget what a talented and true singer Whitney was.. She might not have had the Beyonce body but she had the voice of the decade..she made some bad choices in her personal life like all of us but she finally got the lesson.. We all had that one or two crackheads in our family who we watched smoke the life out of their bodies..  Some were able to bounce back and others weren't .  the only difference is Whtiney's journey took place in front of cameras and was exposed before the entire world..My mama used to say ain't no shame in being down.. the only shame is in staying down.. So i say to my NJ homegirl,  stay up and put your faith and trust in your God for the blessings this time not some brotha from south side of anywhere..

You know what DB, I agree with you about her talent.  But the one thing I do not agree with you about is thinking that Bobbie brought Whitney down.  I cannot stand when people blame the man or woman in that persons' life.  Whitney knew exactly what she was doing.  I just dont agree with how the media handles these entertainers business.

Why do ppl keep blaming Bobby Brown for her downfall? 

Bobby didn't put the pipe to her lips.  Bobby didn't screw up her career...she did that.  People act like Whitney was this fragile princess before she met Bobby.  The chick grew up in Orange, NJ, if I'm not mistaken.  Chick was ghetto PRE-B.B. It's just that she had a carefully crafted image concieved by Clive Davis. 

This may spawn another thread or something but it's true that some women like that "thuggish, rugged, don't-give-sh*t, bad boy type and Bobby definitely fit that bill.  Let's face it, he's got a longer criminal record than he has a list of his actual recorded records.

He may not have put the pipe to her lips but damn if he didn't sit and get high with her.  And sometimes that's just as bad.

Do you actually think that Whitney was that innocent? She probably turned him on to the pipe.  Bobbie was probably just smoking weed when he met Whitney and she turned him on to the pipe.  I swear, people may think its the other way around, but Whitney was not an angel, they just portrayed her that way.  JMHO

You may have a point there.

Let's analyze that shall we: 

Bobby was sweet and innocent 2nd in an all boy band.  He didn't have 4 or 5 baby's mamas when he met Whitney.  No.  He didn't go to jail at all.  He was never an egomaniac with the group New Edition.  He never left the group; he was kicked out because he was being picked on and couldn't take it.  He never despised Johnny Gill for filling his spot in the old group once it was realized that the group was going to survive his departure.

Whitney, on the otherhand, obviously was a bad influence on Bobby from the door.  She'd rather sacrifice her pearly white teeth to get her man hooked on drugs so they could look like they spent the night soaking in coffee and tea.  She was a demon who forced Bobby to father children all over America like Johnny Appleseed grew apple trees.  She was the one to make him go to jail for being a freak on stage; not paying child support; and not showing up in court for arrainment.  

You're right.  She's the problem!
