I will check in after work tomorrow to see if I have any responses LOL

I have my baby now, Rascal....and he is such a little Rascal....everytime, I get mad at him, he does something right ~just warms my heart~ I love that lil Rascal already! but.......he is a dog ~whew~

Please tell me what kind of shampoo/conditioner you all use!  Ras will get his first grooming (from us) this weekend.....I'm going to do a cross b/w a puppy cut and ****er spaniel cut.

I am paper training....which will turn to dog litter box training.....he is doing ai'ight, but not GREAT!

I bought him older (thinking that was better)....he is 6 months.....he doesn't like to be held....he loves to be rubbed and brushed and loves to play.....I was always with other dogs.....4 Malts and 2 boxers....so they play (biting).....he bit me and DJ....so I am breaking his lil asse from nipping and biting by yelling OUCH every time he tries to nip or bite.....he wants to play more, but I turn my back to him.....after a while, I play again and if he doesn't nip or bite, I praise him...overall, he is a good dog!

He is NOT leash trained and doesn't like outdoors.....I am leash training his lil asse now.....

But I really need a good shampoo/conditioner....I bought doggie cologne and it smells so good on him LOL

He does NOT have free run of my house (he a dog)....I use a baby gate.....he is allowed to roam my family room......I do crate him.....just to show him who boss LOL....I can say "go to crate" and he goes right in LOL

He sleeps in the bonus room to my bedroom.....I don't cage him at night.....he has a bed in there and all he needs....while I am at work....he goes to his NURSEY (my old workout--that wasn't get worked out---room in the basement)........he has free roam of that room......potty papers.....food and water bowl (I also put a rabbi****er bottle in his crate).  He eats in the kitchen corner.....I have to say, overall he is a good baby.

Please give me any tips......I am going to try to paste his pic.

Aww, he looks a little like my Benny Bear ( when I let his hair grow out).  I have a Bichon.

He's my little fluffy bear! Anyway, I started washing him with doggie shampoo, but I didn't like the residue it left on his hair. So  I heard you could use baby shampoo. I bought some cheap baby shampoo and it cleans his white fur much better than the doggie stuff, and it won't burn his eyes and it's really mild to his skin. He turns out super soft. I blow him dry and comb him out. You doggie looks like he has hair rather than fur, like mine, so you will have to comb him out a lot to keep him from getting matted. I suggest getting a metal long tooth comb and a metal brush. He will get used to it and appreciate you taking care of his fur as he becomes use to it.

Good luck!

That was then.... but this is now......

Mindy, hey....Rascal is a dream to groom! I use the metal comb with metal tips....no rubber tips....a metal comb, and a flea comb for his face.....he is getting a hair cut tho LOL

I brush and comb him really good before giving him his bath....I am going to get some baby shampoo for his butt tomorrow LOL

I can't see the pic, but I love bichons!

Oh My Goodness He is Cute!!!!!!

We have always had BIG dogs.  The kind that live outside or in a huge pen that takes up a lot of space in my basement.

Jon did all the training.  I'm such a pushover (punk).  I did learn early that they are so very smart.  Never let them do anything that youdon't want them to continue for life.  They are some smart azz Mofo's.  No getting on my bed or my couch.  Not even as puppies cause their azz remembers and will jump righ on up there.

To stop the nipping Jon would cover his hand and arm with viniger, salt and hot sauce and let them nip at him.  From that they discovered that humans taste bad as hell and they stopped it immediately.

They always get lots of love and play time - running the whole yard.

We lost Vader, our Black Lab, last year he was eight.  Loki, our siberian husky will be 11 this April and he is a strong healthy old man.

I have always had big dogs, a german shepard, a doberman, a chow chow, and a mutt LOL

This is what I started with the nipping/biting....yelling OUCH really loud and turning my back to him....so far, so good!

He is not allowed on my dayum bed or furniture....I am not spoiling him THAT much ~I am spoiling him~ and I just love him to pieces LOL

He's good for me right now!

I can't see your pics either! but Siberian huskies are GREAT dogs!  The breeder I got Rascal from only breeds Malts, but she owns two boxers.....OMG, I fell in love with her boxers too

Dedee....I have a Yorkie and I love him to death!  The doggie shampoos did leave a residue on his hair and the smell wore off really quick.  I use the Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo and it works great.
Life is not about making it through the storm....but learning how to dance in the rain.
