Allison although I stuck to my doctors orders the first six months to the "T" no if, ands, or buts about it. I started eating whatever I wanted dumping and all and STILL lost weight. Once that "fun" stage leaves where the weight falls out regardless of what you eat LOOK OUT. Once I hit that 3 year stage I can LOOK at something and gain "5" pounds. You better take control now before you wreck yourself. Although I am almost "7" years post-op it is STILL a daily struggle to eat right.
Just be honest with your self.

I say eat all you can, nothing like the feel of a tight pair of jeans, and the indention it leaves on your belly when you take them off. Hell I eat junk all the time and look how great I am doing

Point being, you have plenty of time to extend your eating later on in this journey, you just had surgery give it a chance to work before you go cramming junk down your throat just because you can.
