Why must the man that I love be so hard-headed? Didn't I tell you to have protein FIRST thing in the morning? Sheesh!

Doug, I haven't eaten oatmeal in a long time, but I do like oat bran.  I cook mine with milk so that it has a serving of protein in it.  It's high fiber and tastes very similar to oatmeal, but has a smooth consistency similar to cream of wheat.  Just substitute skim milk for the water and then microwave it according to the package directions.  After it's cooked, I stir in a packet of artificial sweetener, a dash of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of butter and a few slices of banana.  It's delish!

If I choose oatmeal for breakfast, I always make it with skim milk and also throw in 2 tbsp of peanut butter for protein.

I've always enjoyed peanut butter stirred in with cold cereal, but never tried it with hot.   Sounds interesting.  Thanks for sharing that.

It's yummy...I put it in as SOON as it's done cooking in the micro...so it melts in. But I love crunchy peanut butter so I still have a bit of crunch too. It's very filling, keeps me feeling full for a while.

I had a boiled egg, a small piece of cheese and a half slice of Panera whole grain bread w/ chunky peanut butter.
