Celebrity Gossip...Half On A Baby (Eddie Murphy Edition)
Now I know Eddie Murphy has had a very successful career. I can't say that his musical career has soared, but his acting has definitely been on point (with a few flops). So I know he has money, but I didn't realize he had money like that!!!!
He has agreed to pay Mel B $50,000 a month until their daughter Iris turns 18!!!! WOW, it's like that??!! WTH is Nicole getting? She was married to him forever and has like 5 kids!

gmorning.
j you bout to raise my pressha, i swore i'd never talk about child support/orenthal james simpson and/or my real weight.
i know you kidn around but i hafta say this on behalf of all custodial parents - support is a formula made up of a percentage of each parent's income. it's just that the day to day expenses of the custodial parent are considered their percentage of support, so the impression is always HE (assuming the he is the non-custodial parent) pays outta his a$$ while she pays for nothing. Custodial parents are already paying and their portion of support is the same if not HIGHER because they're covering the non cash value costs associated with raising a child: food, shelter, transportation, medical coverage, clothing, haircuts, birthday parties, sleep overs, field trips, new clothes for every 9 week-growth spurt. sorry i had to speak up b/c the common impression is men pay support, while women don't, yeah actually we do, it's just not in the form of cash.
i remember a headline in the paper about a man who had a baby outta wedlock with a young girl, it was all in bold print, tambout: SHE GOT $170,000 a month for child support - the part that's on page 23 in microscopic print is that her baby-favah is a billionaire and since the government thinks your child should live AT LEAST as well as you do, yeah, the CHILD is entitled to 170. As for Eddie, if he don't like signing checks, he needa keep it zipped. jmho.

Although I totally feel you, I think you might have taken my post the wrong way. I am in no way saying she doesn't deserve the money, I was saying I knew Eddie made a lot I just didn't know he made that much.
I know that they calculate and that is how they determine what you pay, I just didn't realize that Shrek had been THAT good to Eddie. As a parent of 2.5 I know it takes a lot financially and emotionally to support a child. I'm sure the child deserves whatever was awarded AND more.
I was just pointing out I didn't realize that Eddie had stacks like that.
