TMZ can confirm that Chris Brown just entered an LAPD station, where he turned himself in to police .

Chris is being investigated by the LAPD for an alleged domestic violence felony battery that occurred early this morning near Han**** Park in L.A. Police officials said earlier today they may arrest Brown when they found him. Well, now they know where he is.

According to the female victim -- who cops refuse to identify -- she and Chris got into an argument which turned violent. Cops say when they arrived to the scene, Brown had split, but the woman had "visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker."

Brown and his girlfriend Rihanna were together earlier last night, attending Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party -- and both canceled their scheduled performances at tonight's event.

It said her dropped her off and then left. She then called 911 and reported it. She has some bruising to her face and they are saying she was in a car wreck, but really they were together in the limo after Clive Davis' pre-grammy party.

Hrm -- thats a darn shame.   So now we get to see that drama all next week -- along with waiting for MIA to have her baby.  Bossip and YBF should be busy (along with Perez , Pink, and TMZ).

The hard part is going to be getting the truth. Some were reporting earlier this week and he was messing around with a young lady who had just broken up with another R&B singer and Rhiana was upset about finding out. Another reported ever since Rhiana had that cold sore (herpe some are calling it) Chris just hasn't been feeling her. There are pics of him with the same girl various nights in Paris, so who know what the truth is. I know some of the pics from the party last night prior to the black eye looked like he just wasn't in to her.

It's nice of them to try to protect her identity and all, but when they say Domestic abuse, that usually means abuse of one's significant other or someone you live with.

You're exactly right.  I saw the photos on Sandra Rose I think of him with other women.  But there are also reports of her being ridiculously clingy -- photos on either Bossip or YBF showed that even at the Clive Davis event -- which makes someone wonder if they had a fight over Paris homegirl was she overreacting (most likely not -- I mean CB is young and stupid, so I don't think Paris girl was just a friend).  I heard about the STD too -- but ever where I've read it makes it seem more than just a cold sore (I mean most of us get those if you had chicken pox! :P).  Either way if he hit her he was in the wrong.  Although my American gossip-hound self wants to know was the hit as hard as it seems or is she just worried about her picture perfect face -- I know that's horrible!  

It was nice of them to try and protect her --- but I think it almost, from a PR stand point, would have been just as smart as to come out and say it was her.  Legally I don't recall any precedent to withhold the name of a battery victim, just rape/incest victims and minors -- so it was extraordinary her anonymity held out for so long.  

I believe they do try to withold the name of domestic abuse victims. I guess her PR people thought they weren't really lying, she was in a car accident. She was in the car and his accidently connected with her face.

Looks like he has been booked and charged with one count of felony criminal threats and a free man after taking care of his $50,000 bail.

I saw the cold sore, it was scary, looked like it should have had it's own area code. She kept trying to hide it, but you know the paparazzi.

Well thats super nice if they do -- I didn't work a lot of domestic violence cases during my internship at the commonwealths attorney's office so I don't know a lot about it.  I think thats good psychologically for the victim. 

LOL at the PR joke though!   I think they could have worked it just as well teling the truth though -- in the pap-filled society we're in someone was going to uncover it sooner rather than later.  This isn't back in Ike and Tina time  . . .

I saw on YBF that he was booked --- didn't know the count or that he sprung himself.  Thanks for the update!  This will be the one to watch.

And now I'm super glad I didn't see the cold sore!!!  ewwwww!
