Week two: Weightlifting plan
LOL - DUDESSSSS - I am SO FEELING this!!! This week I concentrated on challenging myself and wow is all I can say. I had posted about the weights I am using - and today concentrated on, like the book says, what I can REALLY bear - not just what's comfortable - so here's the revision:
Squats - 90lbs!!! And I really wasn't stressing. I will go to 100 when I do these again Thursday
Seated row - 75lbs
Seated calf raise - 90lbs again - not stressing - will go to 100 also
When I do workout B on Tuesday - I am going to go for
Deadlift - 80lbs
Lat pulldown - 75lbs
Shoulder press - 20lb barbells each hand
This is really working out well. I feel challenged, sore but not in pain and I can feel the strength. I am still struggling with push ups though. I never had good upper body strength and this is my area for serious improvement - so I will focus on upper body building when I do my workouts this week - will make sure I keep my form and keep pushing myself.
On the eating - I am STILL not grazing or gorging!! I have kept it sensible - my replacement snacks of protein oatmeal, cheese and crackers, cottage cheese and raisins have worked really well. I have had some sweets but find that after I eat a couple pieces or bites - it turns my stomach. WOW!!
I posted a chart where I am keeping track of my inches - lost .5 inch in my waist and hips so I am glad of that - weight is STILL the same!!!! that sucks - but Rome wasn't built in a day, right??

The program is fun to me! I get the biggest kick out of asking the big dudes if they through with the 70 or 80lb barbells..... they just look like WHOA - she serious - I be like - hell to the yea I am - now MOVE nicca!!!!! LMAOOOOOO

Now I am a big girl so I let is slide this time and I went in and did the squats like you suggested on the rack.
Alls I can say is why ain't nobody had told me this was for real. LOLOLOL I felt like superwoman for real. It is a much better lift than the squats with dumbells. I did light and I did higher reps. I will be getting back in there on my next leg to give it what its worth. I hope I did them right it felt right.
Barbell leg squat 110 lbs
Barbell lunges 90lbs
Leg Press still at 308 but I need to adjust to that weight before I up it.
MY sincere apologies lady!!!! I thought about that **** like 5 different times and STILL didn't get the info to you...... charge it to my head - not my heart.

Yea - that squat ain't no joke!!!! LOL I am going to try 100-110 when I do them again Thursday. Instead of lunges all the time - have you tried step ups?
