New Post-op Tip of The Day

Lets talk about goals. Some surgeons give you a goal weight and some don't but you should have a goal for your journey in mind.

-Be realistic

-Break your goals down into small portions (ex.: 10 lbs in a month or 5 weeks)

-Celebrate your goals without using food ( a manicure, pedicure, a new book etc.)

-Buy a smaller size of clothing on clearance or at a thrift store and work to get into that piece of clothing

-Set exercise, water, protein and vitamin goals

Do not get caught up on a number, but how you feel and how your clothes fit.  However, I do suggest that you  weigh yourself because sometimes weight gain can sneak up on you, so if you are consistent in weighing you'll get control before it gets out of control.

Write a goal for yourself right now and try to achieve it before St. Patrick's Day. Put it where you can see it daily.  As Tony Little says, "You can do it !!!!"

Excellent tips Neenaj! I bought two tops and that's my goal to be in those tops by my birthday.
Tis better to be dis-liked than to be loved by them cuz your always on their mind.

You're welcome. I'm just trying to pay it forward. There was support for me when I first started on this board and if I can help anyone, I want to do my part.
