Well ladies, I used to drink alot ,bite finger nails, smoke, and party incessantly...I quit the drink (when my kids made me realize that they were raising themselves when they made the statement we like it when you drink we get to do whatever we want BIG EYE OPENER), I stopped biting my fingernails when I began getting manicures regularly and like the way they looked, quit partying when I quit drinking to be there for my kids (still do an occaisional party here and there but no heavy drinker), gave up over eating when I decided to have wls to be here for my kids, SOOOOOO the only thing i have left to get rid of is the smoking.  I am working on that one and like I said my goal is 4/1/09. And my kids want me to quit also...So my past history shows that I can do whatever I put my mind to.. You have to realy want it and I notice I am smoking less everyday.  I smoke more at work than at home.  I can leave my cigarettes in the car all night and never go out and get them but soon as I get to work I smoke and it probably because more than 90 percent of my co-workers smoke.  I quit 3 months before my surgery and started back after I was able to eat solid food and returned to work.  Gorgeous, try the nicorette gum it worked for me.  I am not ashamed to say I am a project under construction and I have alot of work left to do(lol).

I am a smoker ~~Newport 100's~~
I have never really whole heartedly tried to stop.
I know I should ~ but I have not.
I'm back down to a 1/2 pack a day ~ probably because it's cold and I have to smoke outside.

Maybe I'll set my mind to really try at some time soon.

You can beat me if you wanna....It will only make me want to smoke more.
I know ~ CRAZY,  right?

I had my last cigarrette on August 30, 1987.  I dreamed about them for 2 or 3 years after I quit though, and would wake up feeling guilty.

A lot of hospitals offer smoking cessation information now.  You might want to check with one in your area.  The people in the cardiology department might be a good starting place if you can't get information elsewhere.

 Good luck!
