I heard the season 4 biggest loser winner speak
He was AMAZING speaker. He didn't really talk about WLS surgery versus losing the weight with no emdical intervention but it was all teh same 1)Motivation 2)Dedication 3) Prespiration and I think regardless of your "tool" of choice you need all three of these to be successful. I think the biggest lesson I learned from him is to not be an opinionator regardign someone's weight or health concerns but to be a motivator or a supporter to help them make changes. It was pretty awesome to hear! He lost 143 lbs total(of course he has put a little back onb ecause he's not working out 10 hours a day) but he is no where NEAR the 343 that he was when he walked on the "campus" I guess it takes to hear someone else's journey to eralize how happy you are that you made the decision to take your life back.
Bill Germanakos
The last 3 seasons of The Biggest Loser have featured a male winner and I'm not sure that will change anytime soon. Bill lost way more weight than any of the women on his team, shedding almost 40% of his body weight - and that's before he got home! Bill also has an advantage that nobody else in the game had: a twin who also participated in the season. Bill and Jim were both black team members, both trained with Jillian, and both live very close to each other in Long Island. Together, they can finish what they started and I expect Jim to put up big weight loss numbers at the finale and his brother to win it all!

Wow, I like that Opinionator vs. Motivator, that is very true and it is easy to slip into the wrong one. We become experts in our own minds because of our own succeses and maybe forget where we came from. Thank you so much for sharing this, have a blessed day!

Yeah its kinda like being new to Christ you're so excited that you wonder why everyone that is in dispair unhappy or whatever don't turn to Him but you really turn folks off. Because you're pushing your will on them instead of motivating them and supporting them to make their change for themself.
I lived my whole life with an Opinionator (my mom) and we sometime think that we are being motivating but its just not true.

Sorry for the slow response been in meetings.... I'm in the insurance industry and he works for Quest so he was actually there as a teaser for us to listen to their sales pitch lol. He has a myspace page and a website (I think its weightlosstwins.com) I think he's so blessed that he wants to share his message for free to anyone that wanted to hear it. He even offered each one of us in attendance that if there was someone that we wantd him to talk to he would but the catch ishe wouldn't reach out to them they had to come to him and call him. Because he did not want to force his will on anyone. He was really great!
