Yes that is completely normal. If you put on your check or envelope that you want the lunch money to go for regular lunch only they will do that. Girl my son tried that on me and I taught at the school he attended, did he not think that all I had to do is walk into the lunchroom and ask why is it costing so much for his lunch? He was getting ice cream and snacks too and he started this in 1st grade.
