New Post-op Tip of The Day

Okay newbies, we have about a 18 month "honeymoon" period where we will lose weight  without a whole lot of effort. Stalls are normal during this time and usually occur about 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 months but that is not witten in stone, remember that everyone is different and lose weight at different stages. You will go through a stall and the scale may not budge for weeks but it will eventually move. I suggest that you take your measurements because if the scale is not moving, I bet you are losing inches.

You will see on the board and other OH boards some eating plans to try to jumpstart your system but NEWBIES these are not for you. These plans are good for people that are past the honeymoon period. So if you see, The Protein Train, 5 day Pouch Test or The Wagon Plan being done and several people doing them, you are not ready for these yet. These programs are designed for people who are further out.

Right now just follow you surgeon and nut's eating plan and exercise and of course get in your water and vitamins.

Girl I don't blast people unless they do some shady mess. lol  The protein train is something that I've seen veteans on BAF do to help get back on track and there are certain rules to it and I don't  know them all because I'm still in my honeymoon phase. The 5 day pouch test I've seen posted on the main board or the RNY board and it's an eating plan to get you back on track also. You could probably put it in the search part of OH and find the specifics. You're too new to think about these right now.

Veterans if you know the rules please post them if you want to.
