Has anyone read "The Secret"

and what other belief systems would that be?

If you read the Bible, for example, you will see some teachings that, if you think about it, mirror some of the things said via the Law of Attraction.

Something as seemingly simple as the use of prayer, for example, relates to the notion of telling the universe what you want.  I'm sure you've heard the term, "putting something out into the universe" or "If you can see it, than you can achieve it" or any number of other sayings that refer to visualizing something, concentrating on it, believing it IS yours and it WILL be.

I know Judith...but it's so hard for me...it really is a struggles that I am doing my best to overcome...that's why it's good that i have positive friends such as you in my life...I guess soemtimes I just wonder why I attract trash I mean I don't feel like I'm putting that out , but yet that's what seems to come my way all the time...and when I say trash I 'm referring to the guys that seem to approach me.

I really think that as women we attract what we secretly believe we deserve.  If we believe we only deserve the best (which is true!) we intimidate the strays/trash, etc. and they don't approach.

I also firmly believe that we as women/mothers we have to be careful what we speak/act with our children, especially if we are raising son's.  I think that what people put on their children is what they get.  My mother for years said every time she was angry (which was often during my teen years) "you are just like your fat, s.o.b. father."  Guess what? 

I obviously got fat and I do act just like him.  The same smart-ass mouth, the procrastination, all of his bad habits as well as his generous and giving spirit. 

So with that in mind, I consciously make a point to tell my child what I want him to be: Healthy, Happy, Well-Educated, Spiritual, etc. 

Just as you can create yourself you also actively create the adult your child will become.

You will never know when the right man will come along or come back (as my case)...you just have to be prepared for your blessing.
