I read the post and was waiting for the punchline.... like they had a cartoon of Obama or something.  Heck - I even like the new label for it - that black and gold is NICE............

I personally would LIKE to think Barack takes a couple sips at the end of the day - he needs to unwhind and be cool - H is one of those real ***** real end of the day drinks - at least to me.  And I don't want a Pres that DON'T drink - hell - I am hoping the weed man is keeping Obama cool!!!  LOL

I really thought I had missed something...like some picture of something else in the ad that just didn't come through on my end.

But seriously, there was another post by someone last week about the media's habit of referring to the President as Barack or Obama...without the Mr. or President title.  I was offended by that at first.  But then I started to think about it and came to the conclusion that we are gonna have to develop a thick skin so to speak.

There will be a lot of nit picking and tearing apart of every little thing done concerning President Obama.  I think we are gonna have to kinda pick our battles...if not, we will be debating and getting pissed off over a lot of stuff to come.

I can see why some would think this sad, but on the other hand, it could be worse...like you said, it IS a top shelf cognac...not a 40 oz of Ol E.

On another note, I saw a hip hop T-shirt...can't remember the brand, but it was something popular.  It had a pic of President Obama wearing a kangol and thick gold chains...loooking like Run DMC.  I didn't really like that either.  I found myself saying...would they make a T-shirt like that with Bush on it?

 

ok in my mind I saw liquor=black folks.  Maybe had I not seen it in the hood, rather than the lilly white town I live in I wouldn't have seen it as suspicious.  Now if you don't see a problem with it, more power to ya girlfriend!

Yep I would have the same issue.  Why associate black people with liquor as a continued way to peddle liquor in our communities? Every now and then I get socially conscious...maybe cuz its Black Hisory Month.

Ionknow if I agree with that.  Would you argue White folk are associated with beer?  Everytime I see a beer commerical - it's pink folk.  Ain't seen nary Negro riding a clydesdale for Bush or Budweiser (whichever one got the horses) and plenty other beer commericals with just pink folk - way more than US.......

Are you offended by the presidental limo being a Cadillac?  I mean - that's kinda 'typical' too - that company has targeted blacks for YEARS - and it is the 'ghetto limo' brand........
