Our spending has really changed since we are now on a fixed income.  It's a reality check for what you can really afford.  I am very impressed that you all seemed to be budget minded.

Nope Christmas,Anniversary, and Valentine wrap up it one gift and birthday also.
I like how you are going to save in the last 1 1/2 I can say I'm proud of myself I've saved to the double digits.HB worked him but off and thought I was spending my but off. Paided house off got van paided off (4year now) so that was money that I was able to save and when the gas went up.  I even saved during the high gas prices and the Durn Hurr****es won't say to loud HB was talking never told him that I was saving. Even buying protein and vitamins I did fantastic. That doesn't include our 401k, have been saving for another home. I get $1 movie from redbox and HB loves his microwave popcorn. When you have something in site it surprising how you can save,we even got rings after 35yrs and was able to pay cash. Didn't just get anything got what I wanted and was not cheap. They wanted to give me an interest rate of 24.75Dammmm almost 91.00 a month just interest. I was looking at you'll talking about bundling going to have to look into that after pays bill today. And looking at phone bills 116.00 cell and 61.00 home I'm ready to get rid of something are go to bundling I like that Idea. Still drink my decaf at McDonald but we get senior coffee'sfinally getting a brake on get older.

I started with me...My coffee.  No more every morning trip to star bucks.  I was buying their coffee and brewing it at home.  Now recently instead of buying a $13 bag of their coffee I'm back to buying a $4 can of maxwell house.   Caffine is caffine.

I used to walk up to the MAC counter every month and drop at least $100 on their latest colors now I go to the discount cosmetics store and buy last seasons colors for 1/2 the price every 3 months.

I gave up my parking spot in the building $255 per month - about $11.00 per day and now leave my car parked.  I have hubby drop me off in the am at the office an pick me up at the subway.  Total cost $1.35 per day.

Buying all meats and frozen veggies in bulk from cosco, sam's or bj's and seperating it to put in the freezer every other month.  Planning meals out for the week and avoiding the lazy stop off for fast food. This keeps me out of the grocery store every other day to pick up something to quickly cook.
Making sure it gets used instead of just stitting there getting freezer burned and eventually thrown out.   Food is a huge expense.  I'm perfecting the art of the low budget high value meals.

I've also gotten on the budget plan with electricity and gas so that my bills are always the same amount instead of varying so at least I know what to expect.

Every Dollar counts these days - they just don't often stretch as far as they used to.

Yes, I am cutting back for several reasons, although I am expecting a HUGE tax refund, I don't trust anything right now, my freaking taxes on my mortgage just went up, hopefully they will re-adjust very soon.

I got two closet full of clothes and shoes, so I am not spending any more money that I need to spend, I am saving my money in case something unforseen happens!! And I did not renew my Match.com subscription, even though it was fun having all those guys wink and send me emails every day
