I start oatmeal consistency foods today. You guys have any suggestions? I woke up late and didn't get a chance to pack up anything and they are bringing Chinese food. Should I just endure and stay in my office all day drinking water or try and chop up some of the veggies into fine pieces? Unfortunately they never bring soup. It's usually egg rolls with is a definite no. Shrimp and veggies, and fried rice...this sucks.
This was the hardest stage for me because I hated EVERYTHING...I ate very little and had more liquid than anything...I would try to have someone bring youo egg drop soup...The veggies will probably be a no go because they are harder to digest..I think.

i was this minute typing a grocey list for a gf going in next month - don't endure, some take out place nearby you has soup and/or yogurt, appleasauce or mashed potato. don't give in to the power of the egg roll gurl, miranda and laverne can tell you that it WONT be cute afterwards. leave your office and start walking, you'll find something, i promise.
I would not risk it...especially since you are at work. Vegetables at this stage are risky because they are hard to digest. You really have to cook them for a long time to get them to the cobsistency that is required at the stage you are in. Most restaurants don't cook them nearly enough.
Rice also isn't a good idea.
Can you run out to get something else or ask them to also order some soup for you?
Introduce new things at home and introduce them one at a time...so you will know what causes you problems.

I'll just wait until after work since I'm at the hospital clinic and have patients scheduled right before and after so I would really have time to leave and I didn't bring money for the caf...they aren't serving a healthy soup today anyways. I can't wait for next Monday when I can officially eat veggies, can fruits, and baked potato...oh and low fat cheese. I'm going to stay in my office instead of jus****ching people enjoy their food.

I have to encourage you to bring your own lunch/snacks daily....early out the pouch can be so finiky(sp?). Even at 5yrs post op I still pack my lunches cause it helps me eat healthy and some stuff still makes me dump ( trust me dumping at work is so embarrassing )
