To all my Spiritual/Believing folks, tell me what you feel.
WHAT THE HOT HAM SAMMICH(MACK MAMMA QUOTE) LOL! NOW SERIOUSLY SPEAKING...GOD BLESSED ME TO HAVE THIS SURGERY CAUSE BEFORE MY SURGERY MY DOCTOR LOKED AT ME DEAD IN MY FACE, AND SAID "IF I DON'T DO SOMETHING ABOUT MY WEIGHT THEN I AM NOT GONNA BE HERE IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS" THAT'S ALL I NEEDED TO HEAR! GOD BLESSED METO GET APPROVED FOR THE SURGERY SO THAT MY LIFE CAN BE CHANGED FOR THE BETTER, AND SO I CAN HELP OTHERS OUT WHICH I HAVE. GOD HAD INTENDED PEOPLE TO BE A CERTAIN WAY AND TO ALSO BE HEALTHIER, AND LIVE LONG LIVES. CONGRATS ON YOUR UPCOMING SURGERY!

Good Morning,
I consider myself a very spiritual person. I thought about all the things I had tried and all the nights I prayed and even cried myself to sleep because of the pain I was in physically. I could not even walk much less attend church because I couldn't sit long enough or stand long enough.
God created a beautiful an strong machine. He created me in his likeness. My God, is not glutenous, slothful or lazy. It is part of these qualities that lead me to be fat. I serve a mighty, strong, and loving God. So he wants me to serve him in my best condition.
After surgery at my first post op appointment. My surgeon asked me if I was religious. I naturally said yes. He said after I was under I continued to pray. I didn't know that until he told me. When he asked what I prayed for, I told him that I knew God would guide his hands and that is was good enough for me.
You have to make your own choice and you have to decide how you want to face your maker in the end. But, know that he has bestowed the knowledge on these surgeons and the gift to fix what we made wrong.
I hope I didn't go one too long but, I just feel that this is a personal choice and wish you the best.

Sometimes i want to scream from the rooftops i had a wls. Just so that other people will know how this is what God had in store for me. Since 1/20/08 the blessing started to drizzle on me all i had to do was believe I stepped out on faith as of 7/8/08 the blessings are raining on me the countless things that have happened like i am regaining my life, that i was blessed to have a gifted surgeon, I am beginning to know what happiness is and i am not feeling through other people i am living it through me thanks be to God which all things are possible. People always have an opinion on something they have no idea about. Uh i was having surgery and if i died as a complication of it well that was a risk i was willing to take because i was not living another year as as fat doormat and at least i died trying.
I don't know about any one else, but when I think about his goodness and mercy in changing my life course, I am overwhelmed with joy. The one thing I know for sure is when I self will something I struggle to get it accomplished. BUT when it is GOD's will for me the process is simple. I was approved in one day. Like -D, I believe that GOD has made available opportunities to change our situations. It is up to us to have faith that once we set out and take advantage of the opportunities afforded to us that he will see us through. Not everyone who needs or wishes for WLS have this chance. We are truly a a group of BLESSED individuals with an annointing on our lives.
We can't change anyone's mind set about their beliefs, what we can do is not allow them to sway our's.

See this type of thing burns my behind. I don't like when people use God for everything; and sometimes you have to throw it back at them, for instance; God doesn't believe in cheating on your SO; but you did it; were you thinking about God then. I digress...anyway; God gave us common sense; and the sense to use our minds to take care of our bodies; so if you have a chance to take care of yourself through wls; so be it!! If you were approved through insurance; I believe it to be God's will. Just like with any disease or surgery you die from; I think your homie is trying to guilt you and throw God in your face. My aunt always says if you have to pay your light bill and you give all your light bill money to the church for offering; you knew you had to pay it and know you're in the dark...God don't have nothing to do with that!

Some people fail to realize that God does not make mistakes. God also wants you to be happy. If he wants a person to be a certain way, then he would allow every attempt to change it, fail. Wether your unhappy with something 'cause you just don't like it, or it's something that makes life hard for you u need to change it.
God gave man the tools and brains to be able to come up with innovative ways to alter their lives. If he didn't want it then it would not have come to past. Doing something like WLS is way different than boob jobs and face lifts, people just wanna look better, but WLS makes a person healthier from the inside out. I could go on and on and on about this but I have said the basics. People who are ignorant of things always have the biggest, loudest opinions.

I hate when people try to throw up in my face what God has intended. Yes death and complications occur with wls, but his words could only hold merit if death and complications were occuring moreso than not.
Anyone with a spiritual foundation believe that we all have an appointed day to die. If it happens to be on an operating table or due to complications then so be it because I am a firm believer that when ever the appointed day and hour is, it is going to happen no matter what.
We as humans tend to look at the cir****tances surrounding the cause of death and the cause itself instead of the fact that the persons day and time had come. JMO
