Hey there bandster sis. I wasn't hungry for the first 6 weeks after surgery. When do you go to full liquids? Protein shakes really helped me. I found a great one at Walmart called Body Fortress. Unjury has a great unflavored protein thtat you can add to broth too.

Hey my little Angelette -- I'm glad to see that you are feeling good enough to post.  Unlike you, I did not feel hungry untill several weeks after my surgery.  Keep sucking on those sugar free popsicles, but it's possible that you can have popsicles with sugar.  I had all flavors, but the pineapple and the blueberry were so good.

I would drink the broth from cans of chicken noodle soup.  It tasted a lot better than the broth that was in the can or the bullion cubes/mix.  I froze the noodles to use later.  There are some good low sodium and low fat choices (progresso, healthy choice, campbell's healty request)  You probably only have a couple of days to go on liquids.  Warm flavored herbal teas helped me a lot also.

Hang in there because it will get easier.  I will give you a call later in the day to check on you.

Peace and blessings

Karen

P.S.  Everything will sound good when you just have wls -- tune it out by doing other things, it's only a mind trick.

Thanks Angel!  Thats a good idea with the noodles.  I haven't wanted to crack open a can of chicken noodle soup just to waste the noodles --- so now I know what to do with them!

The hunger comes and goes -- like right now I'm satisfied (just had some broth), but sometimes its pretty icky.  I do know that I'm still not eating a lot -- so there must be some swelling or whatnot down there :P   Unfortunately my dietary list specifies SF popcicles -- but I'm pleased with my three flavors in the popcicle box!  I'll have to try a cup of tea later on -- I don't think I've drank anything warm other than broth.

I'm hanging in there!  Thanks for the advice and support as always :)   I think its naptime for me -- but I'll keep an ear out for your call!
