Alcohol and Sweets ??

Everybody is different.  Unfortunately, I'm one of those who has noooooo problem with sweets and yet I don't eat them very often.  I think someone said that it's trial and error and it really is.  I try to be careful about what I eat so that I don't revert back to old habits.  Do I dump on sugar?  No I don't...but I'm also very aware of how many grams I'm eating in a single serving.  Sure, I've tested my "pounch" but I keep it in check.

Funny thing about the alcohol is that I drink more NOW than I did before I had the surgery!  I drink socially, but I also make sure that my drinks are watered down and full of ice...It's true, I get a buzz that lasts for about 10 minutes and as soon as I get it, it's gone..lol.

LOL!!!  I started 'not' drinking at the 6-8 mos mark - but got REAL with it in about the last year.  After RNY - you will eventually be able to do whatever - just in moderation (or not).  Yes - most dump, but not at the FIRST sign of sugar.  i can eat two or three cookies before dumping, but only a lil slice of cake.  Some fried chicken makes me dump - you just never know what your body will tolerate - and over time.

i STILL think pop tarts are the DEVIL ~cuts eyes at Hero~ cause I had tha WORST experience EVA on them jokers - I might be able to eat them now - ask me if I will EVER try?  LOL!!!

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

i can't speak for anyone else, but I will say this:  while I can drink (somewhat), I can't drink like I used to.  One, I get filled up rather quickly (of course) and two, i get tipsy quicker.    Where sugar is concerned, I have seldom had "classic" dumping symptoms aside from stomach cramps, per se.  I honestly think that all of these things depend on the individual.
