Hungry every 2 to 3 hours
Hi BAF,
Wondering if its just me - I am hungry every 2 to 3 hours. I still can't eat more than a small portion of food and within 2 to 3 hours, I am starving. In between I am not doing junk but, usually eat a protein.
I am 8 months (VSG) out and still losing weight (I am at my goal) give or take 5 lbs.
Also, I like cereal but am unable to eat cereal with milk - if I eat them together my stomach hurts so I basically wet the cereal with milk - and pour the milk out. (Yes a waste) This is the same as me trying to drink while eating.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
On a good day, I probably get 64 ozs of water but, I know that I am not consistent with that. I usually eat some version of grilled chicken (2/3 wings or 1-2 tenders) with vegetables for lunch and dinner. Breakfast varies - cereal minus the milk, 1 egg w/ cheese & a slice of bacon & 1 piece of toast. I was snacking on Peanut butter crackers until the salmonella scare and 100 cal bags of popcorn. I have also added fruit as snack (banana, pineapple or melon)
I have not spoken to Dr. Others in my support group have said the same thing - that they manage by eating 6 small meals a day. Since my stomach is small, I suppose my metabolism is a lot higher 'cause I eat all the time and still loose weight.
Yes, this is a good problem to have since I could eat almost anything now and before if I smelled a donut, I would gain 10 lbs.

I will first say congrats on your loss. Then I will say for me that is perfect. I eat every 3 hours to keep my metabolism moving. i am still losing and I am quite happy with my progress. What you want to be sure of is that you are eating properly. Your body may very well be content with a small snack like carrot sticks or something.
For me it is an actual meal. I just want to repeat I don't think you have anything to worry about and if you need healthy food choice ideas ask your Nutritionist.
Good Luck!
