New Post-op Tip of The Day

Okay y'all I finally went to the dr. because this migraine had eased up but came back this morning while I was having a MRI. I'm high as a kite with the good drugs from the dr. so I hope I make sense. I've been sleep for about 5 hrs. so maybe I'm straight for a few minutes.  lol

Mood swings are normal for post-op patients. Many medical professionals believe this is due to the rapid weightloss and since estrogen is stored in our body fat our systems are thrown off.

I can personally can attest to being more emotional at first to not giving a darn lately. Right now I'm also going through the "don't mess with me phase" . Pray for me y'all because this sista needs her job but her supervisors have almost gotten cursed out a couple of times lately. Praise God, I know Jesus and the power of prayer and He held my tongue.

Discuss your mood swings with your surgeon. Some people journal their feelings, exercise or seek therapy. A lot of us need therapy anyway due to the fact that we are mourning food and we need help with that process anyway. Good luck and know that you are not crazy unless you were crazy to start with.

*Disclaimer* I'm not making fun or light of people dealing with a mental problem or  depression just making light of the issue.

Hoping you get over your migraine soon.

Thanks for keeping up with the tips even when you're not feeling well.

Hey Rita hope you feel better soon; those migraines are no joke.  I was having problems with them for awhile.

I have been moody since surgery.  Don't know if it has anything to do with me being sick for the past two years.  But I go from crying, mad, sad, cussing folks out, laughing, not giving a damn; and it drives me nuts!  How I deal with it?  I don't!

((((Nikki)))) Get some help girl and sorry to hear you have been sick for two years. That would give anyone an automatic pass for being moody. But you still need help sista. Seek it out, it's good for the soul.

What a post! And just at the right time... I have been super moody the last day or two, and I wondered if I was PMSing- but it's too early for that. Gotta love all these funky changes LOL!
