OT- To buy a car or not to buy a car?
Well currently I am leasing a vechical which my lease is up in July 09. I am over my mileage by two thousand miles and the car no longer has a warranty. So I was thinking today car dealers are despair to sell a cars right now so I contact my dealership and ask what deals they currently have that will help my situation. They told me I could refinance my current truck and get a lower payment but I would have to buy a warranty or I could buy another new vechical with a lower payment . If I buy a new vechical the dealership would try to find all the incentives they can to help me with the months I have left on my lease. I am going to pray on it and think on it before I go in and let them start punching numbers. The current truck that I have I like but has blind spots that are horrible. My husband and I both have back in to objects and had to get my truck fix and I would have to buy a warrenty so it will almost cost me the same amount as a new vechical I am guessing. I know I will get some kind of discount if I keep the truck but I really do not know if it is worth it. What would you do I have to have a vechical but I need a break on the high A** car payments and do not want to go over my miles anymore?
Having worked for Ford, I can only say this...
NEVER BUY A LEASE. A lease is the WORST possible situation you can ever get yourself into--you are renting your vehicle.
If the truck is already out of warranty you do not want it. They are not going to give you that good of a deal to take the chance of buying a used car, high miles for an over-priced amount.
My advice would be, eat the mileage problem and purchase a brand-new car with all the incentives and most importantly a warranty.
