NO...this is not about sex...so all you freaks leave immediately...

Have any of ya'll had "strange meat"?  I mean stuff like goose, quail, duck, frog, snake, turtle, buffalo, deer, racoon, squirrel, etc, etc...and stuff like that.

I've had all that I mentioned above...plus squid, octopus, and even dog...(Dog? Hey...I was stationed in Korea and it was part of a dare)

I've also eaten horse...and probably a few other things that I can't think of right now...

But you know what?  My favorite meat of all time is considered "strange" also.  That is "OSTRICH".
Dayum that's some good bird!!!    Anybody else ever tried "ostrich"???

What other strange stuff have you eaten?  (To me..."chitterlings" count.  LOL.)

Good list Valena...I've had all those as well.  I think my favorite on your list is probably "buffalo".  I also enjoy pheasant.....and squirrel and rabbit....(when prepared properly....and the "wildness" is taken out of the meat).

I know when my dad used to fix raccoon he would soak the carcass for the better part of the day in sal****er. That got rid of the gamey taste. Then he would clean it and put the meat in the crockpot with some BBQ sauce. Very hard to discern from BBQ shredded beef.

i used to always clean it first...and then soak it in sal****er for at least 12 hours.  (be it coon, rabbit, squirrel, etc, etc,...all of which are absolutely great in a crockpot!!!  DAYUM I'M COUNTRY!!!  LOL.)

Chitterlings, deer, goat!   I don't like deer, taste wild and it stinks!  Goat is tender; but I haven't eaten that in years!  I have an aunt that eats anything (mountain oysters, chicken/turkey feet....)

Doug, have you eaten rattlesnake or alligator?
