After looking back at these NEW issues that I am experiencing, I just realized despite my problems, it could be whole lot worse, so I am getting on my knees this morning and thank god almighty for these things I am humbled and thankful for:
1. I am thankful for my health - (knock on wood) since I had my lap band going on 4 years -- I have NEVER BEEN SICK NOT ONE DAY, only a slight cold or allergy and the only problem I had was an emergency hernia repair caused by a previous abdominal surgery and massive weight loss and that was was fixed immediately.
2. I have a healthy functioning lap band, that is still assisting my at 4 years out if I want to further lose weight.
3. Not only do I have a job I have a career, I have sought after skills that if I lose my job I get daily emails from recruiters that send me offers EVEN in this economy.
4. I am *****ing about my local county taxes increasing my monthly mortgage payment, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel, they will be modifying taxes of offset new home values which will reduce my overall tax in March.
5. Despite having to pay out a great deal in living expenses I am thankful that I CAN afford it and still able to save.
6. I am thankful that I live in an area that when the economy and housing market bounce back my real estate value will jump off the roof...I just have to ride it out for now.
7. I am thankful that although I am divorced I can still live high on the hog, so no rush in finding that man of my dreams - yet
8. Last but not least I am thankful that I just squeezed back into my size 12 jeans after a recent weight gain
Have a great day!!~~ and share your blessings with me!!! you may be thankful too!!
Anytime you think you wanna get down again, do that 'I was unhappy because I walked with a limp, until I saw a man that had no legs' routine a couple times - and keep ya head UP!!!!!
There are a LOT of things I COULD call myself unhappy about, but guess what I'm blessed to do right now? Get my ass up from this computer, get in my new (to me) car, drive my HEALTHY babygirl to the busstop - where she's going to continue her A and B education to school, come home to a HEATED and LIT house (cause the bills stay paid), put on my size 10-12 clothes for work (them hoes USED to be 30-32), get BACK in my car (cause I got plenty gas in it for wherever I need to go) and get my ass to my JOB that thank you JESUS I still have, can KEEP and will be working my ass off at and NOT touching BAF so I can keep that mofo!!!!!!! Then I will be priviliged to leave work at the end of the day and go workout at the gym - a membership I can afford to have.
Anytime you THINK it's a problem - get to counting your blessings - and don't stop when you run out of fingers and toes!!!!
Make it a GREAT day, Naomi!!!!!

I thank my Savior all day long for all my many blessings. It is a blessing everyday that I can just get out of bed and get to that gym everyday. Just to be able to run a mile and a half on the treadmill even when I dont feel like it. To lift my weights without injuring myself and to inspire other women that it is ok to lift weights. It is a blessing that my family and I are healthy and in our right minds(most of the time). I am thankful for when I dont put junk in my body and make the right choices. Even when I dont take my supplements like I am surpose to, I thank the Lord that he has kept my body healthy(I am in the process of correcting this bad behavior). I am thankful for having a roof over my head, clothes on my back and food on my table. I am thankful to be in a size 8 when I use to be in a size 22/24. I am thankful that the Lord has mercy on me because I know I can be a little sometimes. I am thankful for just being alive.
I am thankful that I have come a long way along life's journey and I am still building my self-worth, dreams and aspirations. I won't complain because my good days have most definitely outweighed my bad days.
