I Lied !!!!!

For years I would say that I didn't care about wrinkle creams and aging and all of that stuff. Well I've always heard, "Black don't crack". What I didn't factor into the equation is that I'm not all the way black and my mom and her mom has and had lots of wrinkles. Last night I looked into the mirror and I have forehead wrinkles and dark circles under my eyes.  I'm not happy about this look at all especially at the age of 41. I got my hair colored last month and it's already showing the gray again. I want the smooth wrinkle free skin that my dad and his mom has and had. His mom died at 86 and didn't have a wrinkle.

Okay, I know this is a totally vain post but I don't wear makeup and I dress like an old lady so at least let me vent about my wrinkles.  lol

Gurrrl I'll trade you your wrinkles for these doggoned moles. As a kid there was a lady at our church who had zillions of little moles on her face and we used to laugh and call her holy moly. Now here I sit with the thangs. After surgery I may have them removed in hopes of them never coming back.

Hi Neenaj,
You should read Dr. Oz's book "You staying beautiful".  He's always on Oprah.  He usually gives natural ways to combat aging and such.  Even try going to Oprah's website, you could probably get some good info on the vitamins and minerals that you could use without having to buy the book.

Hi Neenaj...Feeling you on the mixed tip...My father is Cuban and my mother is African American...I am under 30 so do not see any wrinkles yet but both sides age very well...Getting to the point my BFF's sister works as a manager for MAC and I saw her before and after pictures and they are off the chart...Once you get used to it you can probably apply all of your make-up in less than 20 minutes...Not sure what to do about the wrinkles but the make-up works wonders...

I've seen Dr. Oz on Oprah discussing that book.  Yess I have moles too, just not too many and I have freckles. lol

It seems that everyone on here swears by MAC cosmetics. The nearest MAC counter to me is 40 miles away in Nashville. I would have to try a foundation on because I can never get the color right.

I had that issue and MAC was the only one to get the color right.

Even if you prefer natural and not wearing make up get into a good skin care routine and MOISTURIZE!!!! Thats the key to no wrinkles.  And Avon has an ANEW eye cream that is off the freaking chain.

I dont know if this will work for you , but it works for me , my mom, older sisters and daughters.   We use Vaseline.  I clean with pink dove soap twice daily , apply Ambi for some dark spots and then coat my face with petroleum jelly.  At night , I leave it as is , sleep on my back , but have to change my pillow case daily..lol.  In the morning after applyin the jelly , I blot it off litely with a warm damp cloth (leavin it in the creases) and move on to my makeup.  It creates a warm glow to my skin,,,so all I do is swipe my tzone lightly(using a feathered brush) with Origins powder finish makeup to take off some shine.   I have had problems with moisturizers cloggin my pores and causin breakouts , but the petroleum jelly doesnt do that.  Its plumped up my skin.  Im 48.
