Meat Loaf Recipes?
Hey Lady,
I make a mean Turkey meatloaf...the key for me is to add turkey sausage as a filler. I make all my stuff with a combo of the two and it has never let me down...
1lb. ground turkey
1lb turkey sausage
2 eggs
1/2 c. seasoned bread crumbs
chopped green pepper and onion (as much or little as you prefer)
1/4 cup of worcesteshire sauce
1 big squirt of ketchup (don't be scared...lol)
1big squirt of bbq sauce (I prefer Sweet Baby Ray's)
1tbsp. of minced garlic
1/2 pkg. onion soup
I also season with a dash of seasoned salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and a little of Nature's seasoning. I mix it to together very well, sometimes I even add a rell bell pepper for more color and flavor. I form almost the whole meatloaf but before I put the top layer I add a thin layer of Velveeta or any cheese and then I add the rest of my meat.
I cover and bake at 375 until almost all brown I add a can of tomato paste to a pot along with my seasonings, a little water, some ketchup, and a tad of bbq sauce for zing .I heat it just a little bit and I spread it over my entire meatloaf and let it cook an additional 15 minutes. Add a little parsley for the look and you got a meatloaf that is sure to be moist.
ETA: I use the same recipe minus cheese for meat balls
