Ok...here goes, I guess my week is starting off with a whole lot of grips here goes...
I just paid over $1000 dollars in property taxes for both my cars
My Mortgage property tax has increased and my payments has increase by a hefty $300 dollars per month, -- when the home values are depreciating in value
I got a speeding ticket over the weekend and the officer mentioned that I was going 90 miles in a 65 hour zone and gave me a whopping $300 dollar ticket --- he lied, I had my car on cruise at 78; I will be in court to fight this.....
I am currently working in a isolated test lab with a few software developers with NO internet access --- that gets on my nerves and the temperature in the lab is about 40 degrees and I have to wear several pieces of clothing just to stay warm...I have one more week to work in this dreaded place thank god.
Anybody else want to vent here....I am off to work
Have a great day

Good for you Mack great that your life is going so smoothly....I typically don't complain, I got a speeding ticket and I have NEVER driven 90 miles per hour in my life!! Well....I wanted too when I first got my BMW since it has two engines.......5 K coming back woot!! I am probably gonna get a bit more than that since I had almost $18,000 dollars take out just in Federal taxes alone! But I have to pay out so freaking much I probaby won't see much of it

I am kinda in a bad mood this morning. I had to take off from work because of a failure in communication, when I actually was off yesterday AND didn't do shyt all weekend and coulda done it then. On Friday I talked to my tenant finding agency and said my new prospects might want to move in this week instead of the 1st. I said sure.....well I still have lil things to do to the place so let me know for sure so I can handle them. Never called back, so I figured they changed thier mind. He calls me yesterday around 430 and tells me they want to move in tomorrow. Tomorrow? DAMNIT! So now I have to take off of work, drive 45 mins to my place, shampoo rugs, clean, and hang new blinds.
So now I'm sitting here in bed, trying to drag my azz out and get the day started. I sooooooooo need to be rich so I can pay other people to do this crap.

Trust me...We all have one of those weeks...Things have been okay with me...But one issue that made me horrified...My fiance and I live together but his some of his mail goes to his sisters...his car insurance is one thing...We had the mail forwarded but I do not know what happened with that...He purchased a 2008 Magnum in October and I called the insurance to decrease the deductible to $500 and was advised that the policy was cancelled on the 21st of this month...I do not play when it comes to insurance...They said they sent his and that but his sisters claim that they did not...I was in shock because as an underwriter I understand the importance of insurance...so my first they back to work I spent ovr 2 hours looking for new insurance...His was $117 before and the lowest I can find now is $174...So I am heated but I guess you have to do what you have to...

Wow.
I don't feel so bad about my life. Nope. Nothing to gripe about.

You have eliminated Virginia off my list of places to ever live--I don't believe in paying that much tax on ANY car. The most in Texas you will pay is about $600 the first year and then it gets cheaper.
As for your mortgage I responded over on the band board but I'm guessing they underestimated your property taxes & insurance which is paid by escrow. So when you came to the new lender you potentially could have been in a negative escrow type situation. In either case, the new lender is erring on the side of caution and making sure your escrow account is where it needs to be.
If you can get your ltv (loan to value) under 80% you can eliminate the escrow account and pay your own taxes and insurance.

piggybacking cuz i just did this: if you live in a municipality where they will accept taxes from you, you can pay them directly, you're only *required* to have an escrow account if your town won't accept the taxes from the homeowner instead of the lender. if so, you can write a letter to your bank telling them to refund your balance.
pro: you'll never have to be held hostage to what the BANK wants to increase your escrow by (regardless of how much your taxes went up) - my taxes went up by $1200 per year, but my bank wanted $4000 to respond to the overage.
con: there's no reminder, if you don't make the quarterly payments on time, your lender has the right to start foreclosure proceedings within days of being notified that you're late.
