Have anybody seen Tyler's Perry play "The Marriage Counselor" ?

While shopping on base the other week I ran across this DVD , I had never heard of this play before then. Of course I bought it and took it to Sacramento with us and we all watched it as a family together....it was good! I was told that the play just started touring....have anybody else seen this play?

If so, what did you think of the play? I still don't like how many songs they sing in the play but then again....it is Tyler's trademark, besides they weren't half bad.

I LOVED THE PLAY... MY HUSBAND TOOK ME TO SEE IT IN DC... THE WHITE GIRL WAS BLOWIN... THEY ARE DONE TOURING THOUGH... I SEEN IT IN NOVEMBER...  NOW IF THEY STARTED ANOTHER TOUR GREAT... I WILL GO SEE IT AGAIN.. I WILL TELL YOU THIS... IT WAS THE BEST FUNNIEST PLAY OF HIS THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN... HE OUT DID HIMSELF ON THIS ONE...

I agree...i loved the play, Becky sung her tail off! lol I'm surprised that I'm just now hearing about this play and it's already been on tour?

I hadn't heard of it.  I'm going to have to look into that.  I'm just waiting on "Madea Goes to Jail."

Yeah me too ....I think it's going to be really funny.

Now, was Madea in the Marriage Counselor?

No, she wasnt...neither was Mr. Brown, lol. It actually had all new characters. The barber from the House of Payne was in it...he actually made the play funny as hell.

According to Tyler at the end of the play on the DVD...he's going to start a new sitcom with him as the star. That would be great, cause he was funnier than Madea...if not borderline close.

His plays are never put on DVD until after the tour is over. He was in DC, it was sold out so he did a second appearance at a later date and I was able to catch it then.  I really enjoyed the play as well as the DVD.
