Well, I LOVE the nuva ring. I can't feel it at all and it's sooooooo much better than the pill. You leave it in for three weeks and take it out. I felt the same way at first but I have an "old school" doctor and she doesn't like the patch or the iud cause she said it has lots of unadvertised side effects. She told me to give it a try ~ no problems so far and no complaints from the hubby!
When nothing else could help................LOVE lifted me!!!!

I might have to go in and see about talking her into the idea for me.  This might be my fault tho...When I first saw her she wanted to put me on something but I refused citing side effect fears.  Well, today "SHE" cited the side effect fears.  Can you believe this mess?  I was like, no she didn't.    I might be laughing now but I'm still pissed.    She even said I should not even try it (the ring).  I do not like the idea of having something stuck up in me and not being able to remove it.  Yuck and gross.

I don't do that grown up stuff!!!  I's a LADY.

Honestly, I am thinking of the IUD myself.  I like that I don't have to worry about it or getting preggers for 5 years.  My only reservation was I'm getting old and might want to have a baby sooner than that, but alas, they can take it out whenever you want them too!

I was once a mess!!  My mess is now my message!! WLS saves lives!!  I'm living proof!

Have you had child(ren) already?  My ob/gyn wouldnt do it for me because I do have any children and there is a possiblity that if you have complications it could make you infertile.  Just wanting to know if maybe she was overly cautious.

I just got the Mirena IUD a couple of weeks ago. I will admit that at first it hurt like hell. I really wasn't prepared for that but once the pain ended (after a few days) I didn't feel it at all. I really like that it lasts 5 years and there is no chance of ME forgetting to do something and it can be removed sooner if need be. My doctor recommended the IUD a while ago but I was against it, once I gave it more thought I decided that it is a good fit for me.

I had Mirena for about two years then I had to get it taken out because it was not in the correct place on a ultrasound.  Anyway I did not use any birth control for two years only withdrawal method and did not get pregnant.  I did have the occasional slip up with my husband and did not get pregnant.  I spoke with my doctor about it because with my last child I was off the pill less than a month and I was pregnant.  I would like to have a another child in the future but I am afraid the Mirena has messed up my fertility.  I may of just been to fat to get pregnant who knows I saw the doctor multiple times about it.  I am currently looking in to different birth control just in case I become fertile all of a sudden.  I am currently using the spermicide gel inserts and withdrawal method to prevent pregnancy.

Withdrawal don't work girl.  You better keep up with the spermicide or you'll be preggo before you know it.  No offense. I'm buying ******s.  That's it for me.
