I concur!!!!

It is a "minutely" battle,  I say that as I look sideways over at my fresh baked Nestle Toll House cookie.....LOL!   Five years later,  I know the inner fat girl is still running after me trying to catch me and I must admit that she has made tracks...that heffa can run!!!

It is only with renewed persistence and God's grace and mercy that any of us will win this battle for the longhaul.  Thankfully, we have people like yourself who always remind us who we really are so we don't get complacent enough to forget!

WLS is indeed a journey and not a final destination.  You must continue to travel the journey daily to succeed.  Thanks for reminding everyone.

I totally agree, I am currently teetering between a 12 and 14, I have been as low as some 10s, I have started losing again after a recent weight gain, but it is will ALWAYS be a journey even when we get to our OWN goal weight, we still have to watch what we eat and exercise, being thin IS HARD WORK!!!

i had words with my dr. bout hi*****bytchass *recommendation* he said my ideal (healthy) weight is 130.  he finished talking and we're just staring at each other in exam room 3.  he says look that's what ama guidelines say a woman of your height (5'5") and age (36 at the time) should be.  I say according to my chart a single dr. in nyc should be 6'2" and good looking.  he doesn't take it personally.  i jump off the crinkly paper and stomp back to work.  when i got 140 it didn't make me feel NO kinda way bout not being his ideal.   cuz i'm mine.   i set out to be an 8 and i said if i made it i'd just start hailin cabs with no cloze on.  (no arrests yet)

I just had surgery RNY on Jan 5 and down about 15 pounds but I have always wanted to be a 6/8 because that's the size of  the cute clothes I want to wear.  I think we are around really big people and identify with the larger sizes - we've decided that we're cute and nobody can tell us any different.  Well, I look at my ankles and can't wait until my body goes along with the tiny ankles.  I started out about 16/18 and should probably not have had the surgery according to most of my friends and family - but - this is a personal walk and I have always had a 'back of my head' problem everytime I shopped or even dressed in those 16s.  I want to hear some positive feedback - yes, I know we will always fight to maintain - but somebody tell me it's okay!  I want to think that it'll be okay to go to the gym - or go walking - and feel good in that size 6 work out gear!!
