I noticed when I last saw my surgeon he is a part of the 'official' Out of Towner Network for LapBands.

I know I see alot of folks that were banded in Mexico having a hard time finding a doc to do after care, or in my case I relocated and couldn't find a doc that would take me on with complications without charging $1000 or more fee.

Here's some info I found on the lapband website, you can find out more by going to www.lapband.com

Allergan - the Leader in Aftercare for Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding Patients

Allergan's 7 years' experience with laparoscopic gastric banding (LAGB) in the United States has brought a keen understanding that proper aftercare is vital to successful long-term weight loss with the LAP-BAND® System. As a LAP-BAND® System patient you may find yourself traveling away from home from time to time - or even permanently relocating. At times like this, access to quality aftercare poses a unique challenge.

The LAP-BAND TOTAL CARE™ Out of Towner Network - Commitment to Providing Access to Quality Aftercare

In response to this challenge, Allergan created the LAP-BAND TOTAL CARE™ Out of Towner Network. Through the Out of Towner Network, when traveling or relocating you can identify a prequalified LAP-BAND® System surgeon anywhere in the United States who is dedicated to meeting your need for immediate aftercare.

The Out of Towner Network is one more element in Allergan's commitment to support you on your weight loss journey.

This is good to have.  I will tell you when in Boston back in May, I had a stuck episode and no one in the hospital ER knew how to unfil the Band.  I had to stay overnight until a lap band surgeon came on board.

Thanks,
