How Come??

I am at the Hospital b/c Grandfather had a stroke and I am in the cafeteria while he is in surgery, why am I able to use my laptop with their free wireless none the less but can't use my cell phone?? I have a Blackberry :(

I am assuming that the cell phone frequency would interphere with the operation of medical devices within the facility....either that, or you're in a dead area.  It works that way at the hospital where I work.

Oh ok.. I snuck and used it in the bathroom but left it in car today don't want no problems.. Thanks for responding!!
