Well..I have not shopped in Lane Bryant, nor the Avenue in 2 years and I hope I NEVER return, when I recently put on almost 20 pounds I freaked out and was a hamsammich away from a solid 14...so I am slowly squeezing back into my 12s..and hopefully back into some of my 10s.....NEVA say NEVA...I don't want to jinks myself!

I also agree with Shatoosh...Even when I was in a size 22, I really never liked Lane Bryant clothes...I like the Avenue causal jeans and sweaters...I have always shopped at Macys and other shops with plus sizes....just because I was fat was sure was not wack..LOL...

At least y'all get a store that caters to your various sizes.  As men, all we get are the fat sections in discount stores (Marshalls or AJ Wright) "secretly" labelled, "Big and Tall".  And if they do have a store for us big guys (Repp Big and Tall or Jos. A. Banks) then their clothes are so dayum way over-priced until we're just better off waiting until it goes to the discount stores anyway.

I can't stand Lane Bryant. I think they are suffering more because they don't have the dayum monopoly like they used to. Shoot in this area there's Torrid and Ashley Stewart that got my money 10xs over LB. Add Dots and Rainbow shop. Old Navy's XXL size, plus Target has XXL in thier misses section that is always flyer and cheaper than LB. Dat bytch won't get my money anymore. They done bumped thier heads now. $58 for a dayum shirt.....paaaalease.

But her balconette bras are the truth!

chile it's about time.    with more than 1/2 the women in this country at a size 14 or better and only a handful of retailers that bother to cater to them, how do you go under with those kinds of odds?  here's my guess:   leave the young trendy look alone, not speaking on anybody else's behalf but the women i know who support plus size retail don't wanna look clownish, they wanna be current and classic and stylish (their own style) just like everybody else, so stop it with the sparkly yellow tube tops and offer them more diversity and dignity in their wardrobe and since ALL of it comes from china, do it at the same prices the size 6s pay.    Ashley Stewart is slightly better but if they don't knock it off with 48 dayum dolla bras, they're next.

gurl i just discovered charlotte rousse - sad to say i can't stay in there either cuz their stuff violates my more than 2 fleshy areas out at one time rule

Thankfully, I don't have to shop there now but even before I didn't buy as much there as I did Dots, Cato, Avenue, Ashley Stewart because the clothes were expensive and once they were taken over by Charming the quality went down in my opinion.
