Is WLS Putting Lane Bryant out of Business

Okay,,,, I'm not really being serious but Lane Bryant is apparently having problems in this economy.  I'm still morbidly obese and I can't honestly tell you the last time I shopped there because they are so damn expensive.  Do any of you still shop there?

Outlook: Lots of debt, performance is terrible (losses of over $260 million for the 12 months ended in November 2008). The company already said it will close at least 100 more stores this year. Who knows if it can survive?

yep...i shop there...but since i have been losing weight i havent shopped there much...i bought a shirt about 3 weeks ago in 18/20...it was too big so exchanged it for a 14/16....that one is getting too big too so im excited...i love the store but im glad that at the end of this journey i will have no need or desire to shop there...


and your right the are expensive...but i learn to only shop the clerance rack and when they have a sale...case and point...new shirt originally 45.50....bought it for 12 dollars (total tax included)

sad to see they are having to close so many stores though....its a nice place to shop when your overweight because they have clothes that actually look decent...glad im losing weight now though before they closed because otherwise i would be very limited in my shopping

Congratulations on the weight loss.  I used to kill the clearance rack but the stores here seem to cater more to an older crowd so I can never find anything I like.  I don't like the stretch jeans either.

thanks girl...yeah the one close to me caters to the older folks too...so i have to drive 30 minutes to the one i like when i want to spend cause they have the more trendy clothing...

I was so glad when I got rid of Lane Bryant charge card.
Now I do cash only so I know how much I spent.  Now I shop where ever I want and I've learn not spent to much.

You know why they having trouble?  Cause NOW fat *****es gotta CHOOSE between clothes and FOOD........

But you are SO correct Mack...McDonalds will never need a bail out...they still have a 99 cent menu!!!!

sure you right.  I haven't shopped there in a few months because I refused to buy the next size.  And I was sick of everywhere I go I got to see another big biotch in my shyt.

I feel you on seeing other folks in the same outfit...that used to kill me girl.
