Amanda -- I'm not  in the Chicago area, but I wanted to know that I'm saying a prayer for you.  That date is just a few weeks away, but something is going to come through.

Amanda I'm so sorry to hear about you being laid off. I'm sure with all these leads and your background and experience you will come out on top with something even better.

Trust and believe!

I'll be praying for you in the meantime.

Hello,

Sorry to hear about your job loss! If you have a degree in Information Systems don't let your degree go to waste!! If you have a degree in IT but not actively working in the job that you desire you may want to check out a couple of IT sites, but if you truly do not want to persue any jobs in the technology field any longer I would suggest posting your resume on Monster.com, Dice.com Careerbuilder.com these are sites where employers actively seek out employees.

I have not looked for a job in over 10 years....when ever I post my resume on tech websites...I get numerous offers, but I am a highly skilled software engineer with over 15 years experience that may help me, but if you have over 5 years of Step Up Conf technician you should not have a problem. My suggestion in the SHORT term is to try to seek employment in the IT field where you do have some experience and then if you are not happy with your current career you can change to nursing while you are still working in your current field...if you willing to relocate to the DC area, I have plenty of job contacts, I am not familar with the Chicago market.

Wishing you luck
