How close were you
....to your goal when your 1st "surgeryvissary" came around.
Its paining me that I'm not closer. I really feel like I've somehow failed myself.
Dont get me wrong......I'm hella proud of my current accomplishment.........but I'm just abnormally hard on myself.
Here I am 24 hours from being a year out.....and I still have major difficulties when I look in the mirror ,seeing the SIGNIFICANT amount of weight loss. If it werent for the fact that the clothes I wore last year this time fit me like bed linens.....and the numbers on the scale have plummeded.....I'd really be in deep shiot of denial. Anyone else feel like this...or going through something similar?

Hey Shavara!
Girl...I soooo feel ya. I started about where you were and am about where you are now.
My weight now, 250, is where I was at a year out.
We have come so far and should be proud. * I * have not worked my tool as I should during this 2nd year, that's why I haven't lost anymore weight.
You can learn from me....you can STILL get to your goal....year 2 just calls for a little more hard work. The weight doesn't fall off now...you have to work it.
Keep pressing sweetie....YOU CAN DO THIS!
ETA - I had to go and double check my weight chart, I was wrong, during year 2 I have lost about 20 lbs, so, that just reinforces what I stated, the weight does still come off after a year!

Hey Kim.....I really think I'd set my expctations higher than anyone ever should. Not to mention I look at my BFF who had her surgery only 4 months before I did....and she is aproximately 40-50 lbs further down than I am. Dont get me wrong...I am 4EVER greatful......and ooooh sooo thankful. My back, my knees, my heart, my reproductive organs all so very much appricieate this blessing.

If my math is correct I would have to say that you lost approximately 140 lbs in 1 year...That is a blessing...I feel you on wanting to be close to your goal after 1 year but you are doing great...Keep it up and you will get there.

First: Happy Surgiversary!
Second: Give credit where credit is due. You have lost over 100lbs and that is nothing to sneeze at. You have a long way to go and this is a journey not a race.
Lastly, for your question I think i was either at or below goal. But, and that is a huge BUT I didn't really have a goal my surgeon and I agreed on 199 (I started at 372). I was reluctant because i had never thought i would get there and didn't want to set myself up for failure.
You look great and enjoy that for all your hard work you deserve it!
