the ROOSTER lady
There was this girl, at the register. I want, in no way, to keep somebody from their individuality. But this girl had the fakest looking, BRIGHT RED weave in her head.
Now when I say red, I mean it was like a flourescent, BRIGHT red, that looked so ghetto, that even SHE should have looked at it, and changed it.
i cant say it was pretty,, it was just BRIGHT red. It was almost embarrrassing, because you could sense that white folks were making comments about it.
What yall think about the wild braids and colors. What about the blond weaves and wigs?
Que
And the worst part is that she was wearing completely different colors.
You got to coordinate!
Though I am not big on red, orange, purple or blue hair, I think if you wanna rock it...then rock it... However I do feel there is a time an a place for everything. If you get some purple weave put in your hair to match your purple outfit for da club on Saturday night that's cool, but dont rock your purple weave to the office (work ) on Monday....
Hey Q,
I love the versatility of wigs, weaves and even colors as long as they are appropriately worn.
I think the bottom line is all about tact & taste -
Not everything is for everyone, or to be worn everywhere.
My opinion is that certain colors are meant exclusively for the club or home use. You can tell by the hue.
I have a few pieces that I dont dare let move past the threshold to my doorway
But they work for the purposes intended........
.
Others can be worn daily to places like work, church, my daughter's school and people respond to them favorably. I like to switch it up but still wear them frequently enough to pass them off as my own hair. I'm not bald.....Im just short of patience on styling my own hair.
Don't think poor choices are limited to just women either.....remember Sisquo from Dru Hill.......
I think if there's ever any question about a wig or hairstyle...thats when our family and friends need to step in PRONTO !
As far as Sisquo,, I always considered him a woman anyways.
