Good morning!

I honestly think it depends on the doctor's office. It took me a good 5-6 weeks and I received a call from the insurance before my own doctor's office. When the insurance company called they said the my doc office just submitted it a few days prior. My surgeon is really backed and obviously my file sat somewhere for weeks.

Hang in there..............it won't be long! Also, don't be afraid to call and get on their nerves weekly.

When nothing else could help................LOVE lifted me!!!!

Thanks a bunch!!! I guess I should not complain then. I am just a little nervous about it all.

Congrats on your upcoming surgery!!!

Good morning and good luck with your approval!

Mine took three weeks, but that was because my doc's office forgot to send my weight history with the initial submission.  If they sent everything, it probably would have been a week.

I had met my deductible and out of pocket at that point and had a goal to reach the surgery prior to the end of the year. With that said I want to let you know to contact the insurance company once a wee****il you get a response. It may ease your nerves and help them through the paperwork.

It took me 6 weeks for approval, but well worth it!

Good Luck,

Thanks ladies for answering my question. I greatly appreciate it. I decided to just take this time to get back into my exercise routine  and get back up my water intake so things will not be difficult when the time does come for the surgery.
