Protein ( Help)

I'm having a hard time getting in a scoop of protein. I'm suppose to have two scoops a day.
I just put some protein in my yogurt and it's ok. I'm 3 week of surgery and I know that getting protein is important. But Lord this crap is horrible. I had some vanilla flavor protein and that crap was the worst.  I now have this unflavored protein that you can but in your food hot or cold. Maybe it's just me; is it a mind over matter type of thing or is there something else I could use?

I use strawberry sorbet unjury for my protein, and mix it with flavored crystal light.  It's really good and about the only way I can drink protein.
Be careful, or you may find yourself in my novel...

Try the Syntrax Nectar brand of proteins, they taste like fruit drinks.  My favorites are the Roadside Lemonade and Twisted Cherry.

I think this is the #1 complaint of WLS patients...getting in the protein and finding something that's tolerable.  Here is a link of recipes for protein shakes that some swear by.  I hope you find one you like.

Honestly, the key is to keep trying proteins until you find the one that suits you, taste-wise.  We could all make suggestions as to what might taste good to you because it works for us individually, but only YOU have your tastebuds.

My suggestion: find samples (you may be able to find some online) of different protein powders until you find one that works for you.

I can certainly relate to you. I am a month out and I finally found something that I can tolerate. The ISOPURE zero carb protein drink(blue raspberry) it taste so good and I can't even taste the protein in it. This works for me. I've found one thing to be true what works for one does not always work for all. You can buy this at GNC stores. Good luck!

I love isopure as well and one tube is enough of protein for one day.  I may just have to suck it and buy enough Isopure for a month at a time.

I am loving protein hot chocolate right now.  I use chocolate protein powder and the Diet Swiss Miss cocoa.

Hey Pearl!!!!!

Honestly speaking boo boo...I couldn't stomach protein powder at all, it made me toss my cookies everytime I tried (and I've wasted so much money on several different brands). I bought the liquid protein and that stuff was worst than the protein powder.  Get with your doctor or your nutritionist to see if there are any other alternatives for you.
