The President and First Lady Dancing

My heart is so full and overjoyed watching the two of them hand in hand.  My girl B singing to them is just a bonus, but you can see the love they share.  Simply inspiring.  I hope that black men who are struggling with being viewed as weak for showing love can step up to our presidents example.

Thanks.  I am sitting here crying and taking it all in.  Watching the inauguration now (had to work earlier) and watching the parties.  My mother and I cant stop crying, laughing and smiling.  It is a great day!!!!

I aint hating on where they find love, but it kills me for brothers to act like any woman of another race is worthy of being a CROWN JEWEL and all we are good for is neck rolling.  I really think President Obama will help our men to step up to the plate and see how far they can go with a STRONG BLACK woman on his arm.

I love to see them together...like a woman comentator said, "they are dancing like teenagers having a really great time; they are holding each other in a way that you know that they are in Love."


My only gripe is that her youthfulness, grace, energy and that Great shape is shown off in the right clothes. Her clothes should reflect all of who she is. I was dissappointed in the choice of her evening attire. She is the First Lady, she doesn't need to stick with new designers...she needs to get experienced designers that will do her justice. I would have loved to see her in Vera Wang or Valentino. What do you think ?

i THINK WHEN MY husband became president of the homeowners association i wore the best damn Jessica McClintock I could find!!! With that said......she needs to step it up seriously. They would still be carrying my train off that dance floor!

Brenda, I agree with your sentiments.  People told me that there were no such people as a "Cliff & Clair Huxtable in the black community.  And, that I needed to stop praying for my "Obama" or Cliff Huxtable."  Yes, my momma told it to me too. She was like, "you need to stop thinking their life is a "reality."  I always believed that if a writer/producer thought up the concept of a Cliff/Clair that it had to come from somewhere solid.  The Obama's proved that tonight.  I'm not gonna rub it in my moms face, but I will tell her that the SKY is definitely the limit.
