New Post-op Tip Of The Day

Today's tip is about your healing pouch or stomach. Even if your surgery was done by lap and not open, you still had major surgery and it takes time to heal. It takes a while before your new pouch begins to feel hunger or fullness due to the nerve endings healing. That's why it's very important to follow your surgeon and NUT's advice. When they tell you not to eat more than 2 or 3 ozs. please don't do it because that is an uncomfortable feeling. Many times if you push past the limits, the food will come back up. Trust your surgeon and your pouch.

Thanks for the tip.  It gets frustrating at times having to sip and sip but I know to keep it up because I've heard taking in too much can be a "B".
