Hey TAW...yeah its an emotional day as I never thought in my 42 years that I'd be witnessing such a historical moment.  Its a wonderful time for all people as the new President is definitely a man who's up for the challenge.

Very excited , very hopeful, and I never thought it would happen in MY lifetime... He will be in my prayers, just as I've prayed for our last Presidents... But I pray more for his safety...

Can I say I cried a river and I can't stop crying this has been a emotional thing for me.. Every since the very beginning... I have been a stauch supporter of Obama... I can't put into words how this has touched me.. It's just so deep, so deep.. I've been recording for a while now..  The 1st time he came to Michigan I saw him on tv at  one of the big three I think it was General Motors where he was walking through the plant with the head of the UAW... and some regular employees.. I saw him holding one of the parts used to build the cars..I watched him talk to  everyday people..

I just keep thinking of some of the films I've seen of people of different ages being attacked by dogs, water hoses, belligerent people...many of those people died during those onslaughts; I think of those who were made to be strange fruit, those who were considered to be less than human and can only smile knowingly at what has transpired today.

The only thing I can caution is that this is really only the beginning.

President Obama (I like the sound of that) is the first, but he CAN'T be the last.

"When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer."   Plutach.  Not true, for there are always more worlds to conquer.

It's been an emotional day especially here in Chicago! I kept my son home today so we could go to Valois(Obama's favorite breakfast place) and watch everything on tv. I worked for the King holiday so today is MY holiday

VERY EMOTIONAL!!!! My children didn't have school today but the school provided us with tickets to go to our Palace Theatre to watch the simulcast on the big screen and let me tell you, the excitement in the air was like being there...all different colors of people...it was great!
I am very proud...but I do know that Barak is still a MAN and he can't do it all by himself he needs God and he definitely needs US to get behind him...like my sis said....HE is the President whether folk voted for him or not...

Being 40 years old....I never thought I would see this in my lifetime and to witness this with my 13, 12 and 8 year old I am so proud!!!
