Men???

What a difference a hundred pounds makes!  One of my cousin's in-laws who I have met several times before is in town for inauguration and we all went out last night.  He ,of course, was like have we met before?  I said yes, several times but you could tell he didn't remember me.  Mostly because I don't think he ever looked at me when i was heavier.  The guy I am currently dating was out with us as well so he wasn't inappropriate but today he is like you don't have to bring him when we go out tomorrow.  I find this really funny!  This guy is a player and I would not be interested but I love the flirtation.  Is that bad??  The guy I am dating knows that all of this attention is new to me and that i am enjoying it and he is cool about it but i don't think he would find this situation as humorous as I do.  What do you all think?

Hey Michelle!

Please forgive me but I've read your post twice and I am not sure if this is what your are saying....

Are you saying your cousin-in-law was tryna flirt with you because he didn't know it was you?

He is flirting with me and he has no recollection of the several times we have met in the past.  Apparently I was completely invisible before.

Oh okay....that's what I thought, just wanted to make sure I was reading it right.  I know the new attention can be overwhelming, just make sure it doesn't cross the line of disrespectful in regards to your SO.

I don't think there is anything wrong with harmless flirting....but I also would not tell my guy about it.  I don't think he would think it was funny.

Men can be so stupid sometimes!  I can think of two men in particular I dated that while I wasn't physically attracted in the beginning the more I got to know them the more attractive they were to me.  Unfortunately most men won't give a woman a 2nd look or a chance if she doesn't fit some abstract idea of beauty he holds in his mind.

It sounds like you have found a good man, however-hold onto him.

You know your guy and you know what would set him off so I say follow your gut on that one.  On the other subject, I would feel completely insulted knowing that I was invisible to him previously and all of a sudden I'm not?  I would definitely give him fever but I wouldn't dare jeopardize my current relationship to do it.
